About

Discover the West End’s latest installation, Heartbeat.

Marvel at the 100,000 balloons that fill the grand interior of Covent Garden Market’s historic South Hall. Pulsating light illuminates the cloud of balloons, symbolising a beating heart and reflecting the energy of the market area.

Installed over five days, this complex but fragile piece is French artist Charles Pétillon’s first public installation, and his most ambitious project yet. A pop-up gallery in the piazza will also showcase some of Pétillon’s other works.
