About

Celebrate the record-breaking reign of Elizabeth II and get up close to royalty with Memories of Her Majesty at Madame Tussauds.

The innovative exhibition features a number of rare items from the archives of Madame Tussauds that relate to the sittings during which the artistic team prepared the Queen's waxwork.

The relationship between the Queen and Madame Tussauds stretches back an amazing 87 years, with an incredible 23 wax figures of her having been created since she was two years old.

The centrepiece of the display is the brilliantly lifelike figure of Her Majesty that was created for the 2012 Diamond Jubilee. The figure is an exact copy of the official jubilee portrait photograph and is dressed in a copy of the white and silver laced dress that features 53,000 Swarovski elements.

Also present are many of the spectacular Norman Hartnell and Ian Thomas dresses that have been worn by previous figures, as well as an elaborately detailed recreation of the famous Coronation Crown.
