About

In the year that marks the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) brings the playwright's eminent Henry V to London's Barbican theatre.

With Alex Hassel in the title role, the play charts the rise to greatness of King Hal as he prepares to fight a war in France that he hopes will finally unite his country.

To mark 400 years since the death of Shakespeare, theatre fans can enjoy the playwright’s greatest military plays with the RSC's King and Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle of Kings at the Barbican. This four-part series includes Richard II, Henry IV Part I, Henry IV Part II and Henry V.

Whether seen alone or as part of the Great Cycle of Kings, this thrilling conclusion to Shakespeare's epic plays set during the Wars of the Roses and the Hundred Years' War is one of the hottest tickets in town.
