About

The English National Opera is bringing Gilbert and Sullivan’s jaunty comic opera The Mikado to the London Coliseum this winter.

Relocated from ancient japan to a traditional 1930s English seaside hotel, Jonathan Miller’s version of the Marx Brothers-inspired song-and-dance Mikado has proved a popular hit with audiences since it debuted in 1986. Gilbert’s timeless, Sullivan’s memorable melodies and Miller’s hilarious antics remain irresistible to audiences of all ages.

Robert Lloyd sings the genial Mikado role and Richard Suart returns as Ko-Ko.
