About

Watch the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax come to life at The Old Vic this festive season.

Based on the classic children’s book, this colourful, clever fable is a fun and entertaining dig at corporate greed. It tells the story of The Lorax, a bad-tempered creature (sporting a rather splendid moustache) who is on a mission to save the world from a greedy, tree-chopping businessman known as The Once-ler. Can the grouchy Lorax foil his plans before it’s too late?

Adapted by David Greig (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) and brought to the stage by director Max Webster (James And The Giant Peach, To Kill A Mockingbird, Twelfth Night), The Lorax is a bright and engaging show, full of charm, jokes and zany ideas that will mesmerise the whole family.
