Take a trip to Buckingham Palace to see the Royal Collection's exhibition of 20 fine Dutch paintings from the 17th and 18th century. Enjoy works by Gerrit Dou, Pieter de Hooch, Jan Steen and Johannes Vermeer. The era that these paintings were created in was known as the Dutch ‘Golden Age’, when the Netherlands was a leading commercial, scientific and artistic force. The exhibition looks at ordinary scenes of everyday domestic occurrences as lived by the people of 17th century Holland.
