Pomona at the National Theatre

Discover a place where journeys end and nightmares become reality with Alistair McDowall's gripping drama, Pomona. Performed amidst bizarre set pieces, prepare for a surreal evening of tense thrills and dark humour.

This compelling new play follows the life of a girl called Ollie. When Ollie's sister mysteriously disappears, she embarks on a desperate search of Manchester in the hope of a happy reunion. On her travels, she finds herself in a peculiar situation where all roads lead to a place known simply as Pomona. The somewhat eerie Pomona turns out to be an abandoned concrete island right in the heart of the city. Far from providing the answers she seeks, Ollie discovers a place where monsters are all too real. Highly imaginative, this bold production contains adult themes and isn't suitable for under 14's.
