This annual event at London's Natural History Museum brings together pictures taken in 96 countries, from photographers of all ages and experience. The competition's exhibition is divided up into categories that challenge the way we think about the natural world.

Wrestling komodo dragons, thirsty squirrels and colourful sea dwellers are just some of the creatures represented in this year's show.
