Winner of the Turner Prize in 1999, McQueen's directorial work has seen him win the Camera d'Or at Cannes in 2008 for Hunger, and in 2014 claim the Oscar for Best Picture for 12 Years a Slave.

At the heart of this exhibition sits Ashes, a piece which aims to deliver the viewer into a highly sensory space with the potential for epiphany or self-revelation.
