City of London Festival 2014

The annual City of London summer festival returns with a host of events in some of the capital's grandest settings.

There are orchestral concerts in St. Paul's Cathedral, intimate chamber recitals in the Livery Halls - the age-old HQ of the City's trading bodies, rarely open to the public - and jazz gigs in the Gherkin set against breathtaking views of London.

A special feature of this year's festival is the Bowler Hat, a pop-up venue in Paternoster Square presenting a variety of kid's theatre, stand-up comedy, circus and cabaret.

Meanwhile, a series of festival events under the banner of Seoul in the City showcases a wealth of upcoming classical talent from South Korea including piano virtuoso Sunwook Kim, who performs a programme of Scriabin, Franck and Schumann.
