Experience the thrills, energy and style of Cuban dance as the Royal Opera House hosts the Royal Ballet: Cubania.
Promising an evening of dance to remember, the electrifying show has been overseen by Carlos Acosta, the Royal Ballet’s Guest Principal Dancer, who brings flavours of his Cuban homeland to the stage.
Boasting a diverse programme, the show kicks off with an eclectic first half of modern dance. Joined by the likes of Veronica Corveas – his counterpart at the Ballet Nacional de Cuba - and the highly regarded Danza Contemporanea de Cuba, Acosta turns his formidable skills and athleticism to more familiar territory.
The night ends with the vivacious Tocororro Suite, a stunning work that was re-imagined as recently as 2014 for a performance at the Royal Opera House. With music from Carlos’s Cuban House Band, all the ingredients are in place for an exhilarating night of dance brilliance.
