No theatre show is safe as comedy revue Forbidden Broadway returns to London at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
An established theatrical institution following its premiere in 1982, this show was created when Gerard Alessandrini began ridiculing the New York stage shows and stars of the day.
Forbidden Broadway has since spawned 21 editions, nine cast albums, a 32-year-run in New York and racked up 9,000 performances in more than 200 US cities.
This latest incarnation pokes fun at a whole new generation of on-stage entertainment, with satirical digs at some of the most popular current productions from both Broadway and the West End; including The Book of Mormon, Once, Matilda, Wicked and Miss Saigon.
