Experience the largest horse show in the UK as The Royal Windsor Horse Show returns to Windsor Castle.
Royal Windsor has been a favourite fixture in the equestrian calendar for 71 years. The prestigious five-day event hosts international competitions in different equine disciplines, including show jumping, dressage, driving and endurance.
Held in the spectacular grounds of the castle, the event is a particular favourite of the Queen, who has attended every year since it began in 1943. Other members of the Royal Family – including the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles – have actually taken part in the show’s many challenging competitions.
The format and layout of the show have been altered for 2014, ensuring that the competition stays as fresh and exciting as ever for the 3,500 competitors. The first day, known as Windsor Wednesday, is open to all visitors free of charge.
