The Spitalfields Music Summer Festival launches at various venues across the capital. Always quirky and diverse, the festival sees a wide range of music acts performing in unexpected and unusual locations around East London.
Also packed with one-off events, talks and storytelling, there’s a diverse range of attractions for visitors to enjoy. Bringing iconic spaces to life with beautiful sounds, this is a festival quite unlike any other.
Along with traditional performances, there are also events such as Musical Rumpus: The Mountain Shakers, in which Handel’s rustic Acis and Galatea is transformed into a multi-sensory opera for babies. Other highlights include Brazen Hussies, a raucous evening of jazz classics and punk anthems, as well as No Nights Dark Enough, where the City of London Sinfonia collaborate with an Icelandic electronic musician.
