Explore the many issues that have been raised around street art with Stealing Banksy at ME London; covering the social, moral and legal questions that have arisen from creating works on everyday streets.
Showcasing the most expensive collection of Banksy's works ever gathered under one roof, this exhibition is the result of a year-long project that was conceived to uncover, salvage and restore many of the pieces that have had an influence on the London street art scene.
Around 20 of Banksy’s works are on display, including seven of his most famous pieces. These include No Ball Games and Slave Labour, which were salvaged only recently from a location less than a mile from the exhibition.
This exhibition tackles one of the most pressing issues to have entered the public domain, the question of whether public street art should be privately sold, and who is the true owner of the artwork.
