From to

The wonderful world of Rubbish arrives at the Southbank Centre. A triumph of creativity and ingenuity, this family show from Theatre-Rites imagines a world that celebrates its rubbish. The show looks to encourage youngsters to value discarded objects, using enchanting stage trickery to convey a valuable green message. Four intrepid characters (known as The Excavators) explore the unexpected value of thrown away items, triggering the imagination as creative magic pops up everywhere. From a bag full of sludge to the discovery of a lost glove, this visually stunning production sees the items suddenly transform with the touch of a puppeteers hand. Discarded pieces of detritus are transformed into engaging puppets, presenting a world of rubbish as youÂ’ve never seen it before. Both silly and spectacular, this production sees Theatre-Rites utilise their unique creative talents to devastating effect.
