Join the celebration of Alfred Hitchcock's links with the East End through live screenings and events.
Part of a year-long celebration of director Alfred Hitchcock, Hitchcock’s East End sees classic big screen showings and unique events pop up around the great director’s birthplace of Leytonstone and the Borough of Waltham Forest.
The season, commissioned by Create London, is designed to highlight Hitchcock’s links with the area and includes screenings, activities, talks and much more, all centred on the director of Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds and North by Northwest.
Many of the screenings are happening at unexpected locations, taking cinema-goers by surprise in a move that would surely win approval from the famously mischievous Hitchcock. Featuring local knowledge and some classic clips, this is a cinematic treat for anyone interested in how a small part of London bred one of Hollywood’s greatest artists.
