About

An uncharismatic, shy, middle-aged man with a limited grasp of English: when George I arrived in England in 1714 his accession did not seem promising. Historic Royal Palace’s head curator, Dr Lucy Worsley will explore themes from the BBC Four and Royal Collection TV programme ‘Hanoverians: The First Georges’, discussing how this unlikely new dynasty secured the throne, how they kept it and the impact they had on our glorious palaces.
