Catch the Noel Coward classic Relative Values at its new home of the Harold Pinter Theatre, after Sir Trevor Nunn’s acclaimed production completed a sold out run at the Theatre Royal Bath.
Starring Patricia Hodge, Caroline Quentin and Rory Bremner, this is a tale of culture clashes between glittering Hollywood and the stiff upper lip of English aristocracy. Trouble is brewing at Marshwood House when the young Earl breaks the news that he is to marry a Hollywood actress. There is embarrassment all round when it emerges that the star’s sister is none other than Moxie, the Earl’s mother’s maid. To try and resolve this awkward situation, Moxie is dressed up as an aristocrat as the family pretend that she is one of their own.
Beautifully elegant and witty, this evergreen play of manners shows Sir Trevor Nunn’s theatrical skill at its finest.
