Theatre Tours International and Feather Productions present Tim Whitnall's play celebrating the life of Eric Morecambe. The play sets out on a tour of the UK after a successful run at London's West End. The series of shows commemorate 25 years since Morecambe's death by celebrating the life of the much-loved comedian. Bob Golding plays the part of Eric Morecambe impersonating every move of the spectacle wearing comic. Eric Morecambe became one of the UK's most popular comedians when he teamed up with Ernie Wise. Their comedy partnership lasted over four decades, ending in 1984 when Morecambe died of a heart attack. The duos TV series The Morecambe & Wise Show is well remembered even today with the Christmas specials known to attract an audience of millions. Guy Masterson directs the solo performance which is inspired by the life of the great comic, the piece has proved to be a hit after premiering at the Edinburgh Festival in 2009, followed by a West End run at the Duchess Theatre and a national tour.
