HMS Belfast marks the 70 years since D-Day with a range of special events and exhibitions.

A vessel of great historic importance, HMS Belfast played a significant supporting role seven decades ago when she assisted with the Normandy landings. It has even been said that it was troops on the ship that fired some of the first shots on D-Day.

Continuing her proud association with such an important moment in world history, HMS Belfast is leading the activities to mark the anniversary. As well as hosting a major commemoration, visitors to the ship can also take part in a series of engaging educational activities, suitable for history fans of all ages.
