The evergreen tale of Anthony and Cleopatra is staged at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Cleopatra, the alluring and mysterious Queen of Egypt has cast her spell over former soldier Mark Anthony. Now one of the three rulers of the Roman Empire, he falls out with his fellow leaders because of his infatuation with the queen. Threatening to split the mighty empire in two with his misplaced allegiance, Anthony must decide where his priorities lie.

Combining Roman virtue with Eastern vice, Shakespeare’s tale of conflict, sex and power is told with beautiful poetry as he explores transcendent love.
