Overview

Titus Andronicus, Shakespeare's tale of violent and bloody revenge, returns to the Globe Theatre.

Returning to Rome having fought in the war against the Goths, General Titus Andronicus brings home Queen Tamora and her three sons as prisoners of war. When he decides to sacrifice one of the sons to appease the ghosts of his own offspring, he initiates a terrible sequence of events. Rape, murder and mutilation ensue in this violent tragedy.

This latest staging revisits the highly acclaimed Lucy Bailey production that graced the Globe in 2006 and stars William Houston (Henry V, Clash of the Titans and Sherlock Holmes) as Titus and Indira Varma (The Hothouse) as Tamora.
