David Byrne's Meltdown at Southbank Centre

About

Catch the spectacular cultural event that is Meltdown, as Talking Heads star David Byrne curates the Southbank Centre festival for 2015.

One of the big events in the capital's calendar, Meltdown has been running since 1993. Meltdown covers everything from live music, comedy, art and poetry to dance, talks and readings.

Each year the festival is overseen by a notable figure from the arts (previous names include Nick Cave, Michael Palin, Damon Albarn and Yoko Ono), giving them the chance to book acts and artists that chime with their own cultural sensibilities.

Away from Talking Heads, David Byrne has had great success with many projects, with eight solo albums, a knack for reinventing himself and working as a photographer, artist, author and actor. With a keen interest in all aspects of the arts and broad tastes, his choices for the event this year promise to both intrigue and entertain.
