The Design Museum is the setting for In the Making, an exhibition curated by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.

The exhibition features over 20 objects that have been caught part way through the manufacturing process. It looks to explore the aesthetic elements of the unfinished object, taking familiar items and presenting them in curious new ways. The odd collection of unfinished items feature everything from cricket bats to £2 coins, all selected by the founders of the Barber & Osgerby design studio. The chosen items were picked out because of the unusual qualities that they display when not quite finished. They capture items in an unconventional slice of time, so that everyday items take on an otherworldly feel.

Intriguing and thought provoking, this is an exhibition that skilfully blends the line between manufacturing and art.
