Arcade Fire at Earls Court

Arcade Fire consists of husband and wife duo Win Butler (vocals, guitar, piano) and Regine Chassagne (vocals, accordion, keyboards, hurdy gurdy, drums), with Richard Reed Parry (bass, guitar), William Butler (keyboards, guitar), Tim Kingsbury (bass), Sarah Neufeld (violin), and Jeremy Gara (drums). As if the band was not large enough, they are also joined by Montreal percussionist Dane Mills, who performed on their self-titled EP and in early live shows. Horn player Pietro Amato (who is in Bell Orchestre and Torngat) joined the touring band in 2005 along with violinist Owen Pallett. Pallett performed as one-man-band Final Fantasy at the opening of some of their shows. During their time Arcade Fire have accumulated numerous honours including the Meteors 2008 Best International Album Award, the Juno Awards 2008 Alternative Album Of The Year Award for Neon Bible. They have also been nominated for the Best Alternative Music Album Grammy in 2005 for Funeral and in 2008 for Neon Bible. The group are now promoting their third studio album The Suburbs.
