Raising temperatures and raising the artistic bar at the Wallace Collection is White Light/White Heat.
A curious collaboration between the Berengo Glass Studio, Venice, the London College of Fashion and the Wallace Collection, the exhibition boasts a fine display of work by major contemporary artists and designers.
Joining their ranks are the likes of Tracey Emin, Charlotte Hodes and Polly Apfelbaum. In a move that pretty much guarantees interesting results, many of the artists and designers happen to be working with glass as a medium for the first time.
Many of the resulting efforts are selected from a project created for the 55th Venice Biennale entitled Glasstress: White Light/White Heat.
The alluring combination of big names working in unfamiliar territory ensure that this is one collaboration that’s sure to spark the imagination.
