Find beautiful treasures and Christmas gifts as historic Greenwich Market lights up for Christmas.
Greenwich Market’s festive season kicks off on 25 November with a local school children’s lantern procession at 4pm and the switching on of the twinkling Christmas lights. The evening continues until 7pm with shopping, carol singing, mince pies and warming festive drinks. This year’s pantomime characters are making an appearance and children can also visit Santa’s grotto.
The market is open every day in the run up to Christmas, until 1pm on 24 December. Set within a world heritage site, the covered market consists of more than 100 stalls selling crafts, jewellery, fashion, beauty, antiques, art and more, as well as festive street food and drinks to get you in the Christmas spirit. Children can also meet Father Christmas and his elves every day from 19 to 24 December, between noon and 5pm, and until 3pm on 24 December (£4 per visit).
