About

Nazif is the patriarch of a Roma family living on the fringes of society in Bosnia-Herzegovina. His wife Senada stays at home to care for their two small daughters. One day during her chores, Senada experiences a sharp pain in her abdomen and she reluctantly visits the hospital where she learns that the baby she is carrying has died. Surgeons must operate immediately or Senada runs a serious risk of septicaemia. Unfortunately, Senada and her family do not have medical insurance.
