From Morning to Midnight is an expressionist masterpiece from the pen of Georg Kaiser, in a new version at the National Theatre this winter.
It tells the tragic tale of an ordinary man who steps out of his dull life only for the events of a crazy day to come close to destroying him completely.
Ditching his family and their bourgeois lives for the tantalising charms of an exotic woman from Florence, the hero of the piece embarks on a sensational journey through the seedier side of the city. Becoming increasingly disillusioned, can he find anything worth buying or any new experiences that will make life worth living?
Originally written in 1912, this dynamic new version by Dennis Kelly features video and projection design by Andrzej Goulding.
