Thousands of fund-raisers, some in fancy dress, pound the streets of London in the world's largest test of endurance. Participants start from Greenwich Park on Charlton Way, St John's Park or Shooter's Hill Road and pass close to some of the capital's popular landmarks including Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, the London Eye and Big Ben before a grandstand finish in The Mall alongside St James's Palace. Elite runners begin their race from 9am. Public transport operates to capacity on the day so plan ahead.
