About

Bhupati runs The Sentinel newspapers in 1870s Calcutta. The job demands long hours, which takes him away from his wife Charu. Noticing that she is lonely, Bhupati asks his cousin Amal to keep Charu company and to also mentor her since Amal is a talented writer. Charu thrives in Amal's company and her skills as a writer flourish. Over time, though, they both realise that their feelings for one another are deepening and they must make an agonising choice about where their loyalties lie.
