The Christmas spirit is in full flow as the King’s College Choir take part in the traditional performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Described as a magnificent concert of heavenly charm, the angelic sounds of Christmas carols ring out through the spectacular surroundings of the main auditorium, creating a very special festive atmosphere. The chapel choristers are set to perform everything from seasonal classics such as Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel Overture and Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols to Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer. In a slightly more familiar vein, conductor Stephen Cleobury leads the choristers through Christmas essentials including God rest you merry gentlemen, O Come, All Ye Faithful and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. With music from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the ingredients are in place for the perfect festive concert.
