Overview

Go Local will be the UK's biggest ever celebration of volunteering. With live performances from Mcfly and comedian Eddie Izzard. Also on stage will be the stars of Team GB.

Go Local is a special event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park featuring live music, comedy and performance, plus special guests including Seb Coe and The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. In addition, there'll be inspirational ideas and practical advice for volunteers on how to volunteer in their area. Go Local aims to inspire those who gave their time last summer in such a spectacular way – whether Games Makers or London Ambassadors – and encourage them to continue their volunteering journey.

London 2012 inspired a generation, helped by the people who gave up their time and volunteered. Whether you were an official London 2012 volunteer or just thought "I wish I'd done that", Go Local is for you.

With the Games still fresh in the mind, Join In and Team London are asking anyone interested in volunteering to come to the event and be inspired to make a tangible difference to their local community.

It’s just £15 for two tickets!

Go Local is presented by BT, and majority funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
