Overview

Daring and idiosyncratic filmmaker Werner Herzog was hailed “the most important film director alive” by Francois Truffaut.

This summer, BFI Southbank is presenting an in-depth retrospective of movies to support this statement.

Screenings include Signs of Life, Even Dwarves Started Small, Land of Silence and Darkness and Nosferatu the Vampyre.
