Thrilling ballet and stylish choreography arrive at the London Coliseum as the English National Ballet perform Le Corsaire (The Pirate).
A lively and adventurous show, Le Corsaire tells the story of a pirate and his love for a beautiful harem girl. A swashbuckling drama of captive maidens, this is a show that has it all – rich sultans, kidnap and rescue, disguise and conspiracy and love and betrayal. Building to a spectacular shipwreck finale, this is a show that’s pretty far removed from the more sedate offerings that many expect from a night of ballet.
Energetic, frantic and exciting, this is a stylish production that boasts some of the most impressive male dancing in ballet, with dashing heroics that would make Errol Flynn proud.
