Discover the work of Smiljan Radic in Kensington Gardens, as the acclaimed architect designs the annual Serpentine Pavilion.

The world-famous project, now in its 14th year, sees a renowned architect, designer or artist take on the challenge of constructing a full-size summer pavilion next to the Serpentine Gallery.

This year, Chilean architect Radic has created a memorable design that fits the 350 square metre site. Employing his trademark consideration for social conditions, environments and materials, Radic has made the visitor experience his priority for the fully interactive, shell-like space.

Sitting on a bed of quarry stones, this remarkable pavilion plays host to a wide range of cultural activities, from poetry readings and literary events to film and music performances.
