Free and open to all, the second annual Imperial Festival takes place at the College’s South Kensington Campus on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May. Situated in London’s museum quarter, the festival is just a short walk from South Kensington underground station and Hyde Park.
From singing scientists to busking physicists, Imperial Festival showcases some of the world-leading research projects taking place at the College through interactive and exciting activities.
The event offers festival-goers the rare chance to meet over 200 world-leading experts and chat with them about their research into topics as diverse as climate science, engineering and obesity. There are plenty of opportunities for visitors of all ages to get hands-on experience with today’s technologies and research facilities.
Last year's 16-feet tall mechanical bubble-breathing dragon returns, alongside surgical simulations, robots and the Haemo Globe Inn, Imperial’s pop-up pub, where festival-goers can go to recharge their batteries.
Top-notch geek comedians will be vying for your attention with scientific songs, peer-reviewed gags and statistically significant laughter.
