Catch some of the hottest acts on the alternative scene, as London Wonderground returns to the Southbank Centre for another summer of fun.
Showcasing top talent on the cabaret and burlesque circuit, with a few established names thrown in for good measure, this companion to the nearby Udderbelly festival is set within a charming 1920s-style Spiegeltent.
Among the treats is Between the Sheets: An Intimate Cabaret, where you’re welcomed into Miss Polly Rae’s boudoir for a hilariously risqué comedy romp. Marvel at street performers, crazed musicians and comedy acrobats at The Black Cat Cabaret, inspired by the Absinthe-selling venues of Montmartre. Don’t miss dark and troubling cabaret inspired by David Lynch in The Double R Club; while Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School provides an interactive art lesson quite unlike any other.
The line-up of acts is topped-off by laughs from the gloriously satirical Al Murray and his Pub Landlord’s Southbank Saloon, and ingenious beatbox sounds from Shlomo.
With bars, food stalls and rides alongside the wealth of performances, London Wonderground offers some of the best night-time entertainment during the summer months.
