London Wonderground at Southbank Centre

Step inside the circus to see some of the hottest acts on the alternative scene as London Wonderground returns to the Southbank Centre for a fifth summer of fun.

Showcasing weird and wonderful cabaret, comedy, circus and family shows, this companion to the nearby Udderbelly Festival is set within the atmospheric Paradiso Spiegeltent, surrounded by quirky riverside bars, eateries and fairground rides.

London Wonderground Headline Shows

Get ready for the world premiere of The Raunch, which opens the festival from 5 May to 12 June with an explosive circus-cabaret show of dancing twins, sheriff, sword-swallower, circus stars and more.

Witness a daring feat of muscle and skill performed by Cirque Alfonse’s astounding acrobats with BARBU between 15 June and 25 September. Set to pounding music, this cabaret show is brimming with dare-devil stunts, oddball entertainment and impeccably groomed beards.

Be dazzled by the Briefs boys’ sassy mix of aerial stunts, thrilling boylesque, playful tricks and drag treats. The extravagant cabaret hosted by the glamorous Shivannah takes to the stage of the Spiegeltent between 9 and 24 September.

More Quirky Acts

And there are plenty more live acts to keep you entertained throughout the festival, including the award-winning contemporary burlesque show Between The Sheets with its electric mix of song, dance, circus, comedy and tease; Hotel Black Cat cabaret where grace and beauty merge with madness and excess; and acclaimed stand-up comedy show Panti Bliss: High Heels in Low Places.

Something for the Family

Join DJ Monski Mouse and her dancers on the dancefloor in Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall for children under five years old and their parents. Or take older kids back to a time of Victorian magic, fantastical illusions and curious tricks with Morgan & West’s Utterly Spiffing Spectacular Magic Show. The whole family can also get together to enjoy Shlomo’s Beatbox Adventure for Kids, a lively show led by the record-breaking beatboxer.
