Performing Arts: Kosmos Ensemble: Fukushima Tsunami Benefit Concert
Overview
London-based trio Kosmos is giving a lunchtime concert to help raise money for the Friends of Fukushima, a Hong Kong-based Christian charity that supports survivors of the Fukushima disaster of 2011.
Influenced by music from all over the world, classically – trained musicians Kosmos perform with “telepathic rapport, dazzling virtuosity, serious scholarship, intellectual curiosity and impeccable musicianship, according to Richard Morrison, from The Times.
Expect Wild Gypsy fiddling, emotive Jewish and Greek music, hot-blooded tango and Japanese folk song.
Admission is free but a donation for the Friends of Fukushima Charity is suggested.
