Overview
Twin African baby girls were born and abandoned in the bush during the Biafan war in Nigeria, one did not survive one of them was rescued and adopted by a British white couple and went on to be raised in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. Against all the odds that child grew up to be the comedian Joy Carter, and Get Carter is the story of her life and how she overcame tragedy by the power of humour to produce a dynamic show. I also cover Osama Bin Laden, the aggression of beetroot and the trauma of seeing a loved hair piece (ponytail) get blown off my head into the path of a number 12 bus. Expect intelligent, witty, sharp and sassy humour in this timely show for today.
