A one day course that will include examining and identifying the previous night's moth-trap catch from Bushy Park's woodland, acid grassland and wetland habitats. In the afternoon we will visit these sites for butterflies, day-flying moths and caterpillar foodplants. Indoor work will include looking at field guides and survey equipment. Tim Freed is a professional lepidopterist with a lifelong interest in this subject. He has carried out surveys in all the Royal Parks, recording over 550 species in Bushy Park in recent years.
