Overview

The artist Al Weiwei was arrested Beijing Airport, trying to board a plane to Taipei in 2011. His subsequent disappearance for 81 days was explained as detention due to tax evasion. Based on conversations between the artist and Barnaby Martin, Howard Brenton's biographical drama is directed by James MacDonald.
