Zen Death Squad + John James Appleyard + Aaron Carrington + Bluebell Would at The Constitution Pub and The Con Cellar Bar
Overview
Zen Death Squad: Mixologists and electronica bashing trio with guests vocalising on their recorded work...like David Holmes more recent indie tinged material meets a more post rnb dubby vibe...interesting, lots of minor keys, sad vox and melancholy keys......pretty influenced by the work of Dangermouse but lots of fresh ideas.
\nJohn James Appleyard: This guy can blow a harp like no other, fantastically gritty blues sashaying action.
\nAaron Carrington: There's a fair few male solos with acoustic and piano backing but Aaron stands out what with the mighty pretty voice and George Harrison like melodies.
\nBluebell Would: An eclectic mix of acoustic pop, folk and blues, with the occasional dance beat thrown in.
\nWar Of Roses: Fleetwood Mac typa vocal harmonies and some Sarah McLachlan/Alanis Morissette hippy chick ballad moments.
\nScattered Few: Clear as a bell female vocal, brooding Floydy backing, folky, bleak but beguiling. Rock an impressively full sound for a duo.
