Airfix: Making History at Royal Air Force Museum
Overview
A signature exhibition celebrating the national institution that is Airfix. The exhibition charts the history of this Great British institution by displaying original box art as well as Airfix's most popular models from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. An important part of the exhibition is the examination of how Airfix has permeated the social fabric and influenced the leisure activities of generations of young men and women since the company's foundation. Linked to this exhibition are regular make and takes, plus the opportunity to help create a new Guinness world record.
