Alice Anderson's Travelling Factory at The Print Room
Overview
During the past two years Alice Anderson's performances have concentrated on 'mummifying' objects (and buildings) with copper thread and red fibre. These have included small personal items, and also large-scale locations like the Cinémathèque Française building in Paris or the Freud Museum in London. In spring 2012, Anderson began to mummify all of the objects and furniture from her London studio with copper thread while inviting various performers to join her in these actions at the studio, turning the studio space into a factory.
