Academy of St Martin in the Fields: Bach at Kings Place

In the second of their Bach Unwrapped concerts at Kings Place, the Academy is once more joined by soprano Carolyn Sampson, who will perform two enchanting cantatas originally composed for wedding celebrations. They continue their exploration of Bach’s concertos written for violin; the sublime Concerto in A minor is accompanied by the Concerto for Violin and Oboe - a reconstruction of what is believed to have been the original version of the Concerto No.1 for two harpsichords.
