Missing Pages, choreographed by Sue Lewis and performed by the whole company, explores the lovely Ravel Sonata for Violin and Cello as a backdrop to WW1 memories written especially for Ffin Dance by Welsh author John F Wake. Axiom Tangent, choreographed by Gary Lambert with sound score by Oli Newman, is a response to the score, which was in turn inspired by cold war secret services longwave transmissions of secquencies of numbers. Degrees Of Freedom, choreographed by Gary Lambert performed by Megan Griffiths - an intimate solo work exploring the changing identity of the body and its relationship to the physical. A response to limitations impacted on the body after Gary’s long career in dance; received 5 Star Edinburgh Festival award in 2004. There are no meanings, just a habitual need to move. Ffin Dance will holding a residency in Holyhead High School and with Barton Dance and Drama Academy to choreograph a brand new piece of work for the dancers of the Barton Dance and Drama Academy, which will be performed this evening before Ffin’s performance.
