Platform33 Moves presents an eclectic programme of diverse genres side-by-side. This event will feature contemporary dance, a colliery band and contemporary classical music. The three main acts, will have 33 minutes to perform, and to talk about the ideas and inspiration behind their work. This offers a rare insight into the process and stories behind the artistic product. Candoco Dance Company will perform Studies for C, choreographed by the internationally renowned Javier de Frutos. They will explore how the piece was devised and how disability affects the way these dancers work. Music by Charlotte Bray will be performed by the Benyounes String Quartet and soloists. Between pieces, Charlotte will introduce her work, and how she approaches composition. Hackney Colliery Band will bring brass and beats together, with their own unique arrangements of popular tracks.
